Privet Valentina, kakdila

What do you think a Mason, a lithe “Behemoth” named Valentina and a Neophyte named Alexander had in common at 0200 hours sitting at NorthSide Social in Arlington, the capital of the American avant-garde intellect?

Nothing short of revolutionizing the world!

She walked past the Mason and Alexander, and glanced at them, paused, “Dho you khapin to khave a cigaghette?” her blue-grey eyes twinkled mischievously.

Alexander:  “What adorable accent…Russian?”

Valentina graced a slight left-leaning bow, “Why yes.”

And so it began…

We spoke of […] and of this and of that, but mainly of a cat named Behemoth and the color of letters and Bulgakov and Nabokov and well…

I drew a building, and she drew a bug, and he drew […] all from ideas conceived long before we had met each other and, well, we drew the same thing…

“But there is more!” she said.  “You know about the two suns, right?”

“Are you Saturnine?!” I exclaimed in awe.

“Ra, and El…” she pierced into my eyes, intensely, then smiled and made light of it.

“You… — OMG!!! how on earth? – wait you forgot Is… but how – “ I recovered.

She blinked and smiled a half-crooked smile with a sharp dimple crease…

“It’s all about diamonds and hearts,” our Mason friend interjected.

“Huh?” Valentina and I exclaimed simultaneously.

He later explained to me privately the wisdom of 16 hearts and a diamond of light…  Oh how delectable…

But I digress, or do I?

Sweet Valentina, kharosho…
